Let’s be real—times are tough, people.
Between the seemingly endless hikes in interest rates and cost of living, we’re having to rethink our spending and cut back where we can. And, sadly, our beauty treatments are no exception.
Coincidentally, it’s getting colder outside. Much colder. Which means my can’t-be-effed levels are ever-increasing.
And while I relish winter's opportunity to be unapologetically antisocial, I don’t love how my penchant for introvertedness impacts my skin (nor do my dry, scaly legs).
So, before I metamorphosis into a sloth for the winter season, I thought I’d put together a list of the best beauty devices available on Adore Beauty, tried and tested by our team, so we can emerge come springtime looking and feeling our best—just in time for my birthday hehe.
And before you tell me "Jas, these are more expensive than in-clinic treatments!?", hear me out. When you break down the cost-per-use, these beauty devices are actually more affordable long-term than frequent appointments.
Keep scrolling for a roundup of four of our favourite at-home beauty treatment devices.
Gerard, Head of Brands & Campaign Marketing.
1. Foreo UFO.
What: Foreo UFO 2
Fast facts:
Foreo UFO 2 is a palm-sized device that harnesses full-spectrum LED light therapy (8 in total), Thermo-Therapy, Cryo-Therapy and T-Sonic facial massaging in one.
It combines these popular treatments to nourish and soften skin, as well as help to minimise pores, reduce fine lines and puffiness, and improve skin tone and texture.
It’s designed to be used for 90 seconds at a time with one of Foreo’s masks which cover a whole host of skin concerns including hydration, revitalizing, smoothing and purifying.
Why Gerard loves his Foreo UFO:
"I was gifted my Foreo UFO in a previous role as a leaving present and I recall back then that I was regularly using it as I became addicted to the heating and cooling aspect of it.
Don't get it wrong, this is NOT a cleaning device, this is a mask device. It's designed to help the ingredients sink into your skin faster than a regular sheet mask.
So I got the UFO back out of the bathroom cabinet and honestly, fell back in love with this forgotten ritual. From its 90 seconds of heaven with relaxing music playing from the app you need to use to the light stimulation and the heat and vibrations.
This isn't a clinic replacement tech and it's something you need to use with the provided Foreo masks, but if you're after a moment of solitude that benefits your skin, this is worth a try.
With the price tag definitely being up there, this is for those beauty fanatics who love the ritual and experience of their evening beauty routines - this is where they invest their time and money.
Cost per wear over time is good but you do need to factor in the specific masks repurchase - but these are inexpensive."

2. Trophy Skin RejuvaliteMD.
What: Trophy Skin RejuvaliteMD
Fast facts:
RejuvaliteMD is a LED light therapy device that uses four different coloured UV-free wavelengths to treat different concerns and signs of ageing, including:
Red light - aids with producing collagen and elastin for stronger, firmer and more supple skin.
Yellow light - helps to reduce the appearance of redness and improves blood circulation.
Amber light - helps to reduce the appearance of redness, flushing and spider veins. Is also suitable for sensitive skin.
Infrared light - the most powerful of the four wavelengths that help with collagen production and skin healing, and combat the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin.
It only requires five minutes per area you’re treating and can be used to treat any area on the face or body.
It features a handy gooseneck design for hands-free treatment from the comfort of your couch.
Why Jo loves her RejuvaliteMD:
“Pretty much everything I have to say about RejuvaliteMD is in the below video (which I definitely encourage you to watch if this device interests you), but I'm a huge fan of LED Light Therapy as a rosacea-sufferer.
In fact, we've also done a podcast segment about this topic as well if you're wondering whether at-home LED devices are worth it (spoiler: not all devices are made equal, I explain why in that podcast segment).”
Jordi, Brand Marketing Coordinator.
Jordi is also a long-standing Trophy Wife Rejuvalite stan. She's been using it for years so it was only fitting that she weigh in with her thoughts, too.
Here's why she loves it:
"I’m actually in love with my Trophy Skin Rejuvalite. I try to use it 5 days a week and I’ve noticed a difference in the texture and radiance of my skin!
My partner is also a fan, or at least a fan of laughing at me and taking photos when I use it. Exhibit A (above)."
3. Foreo Bear.
What: Foreo BEAR
Fast facts:
Foreo Bear is a toning device that uses smart microcurrents to exercise the muscles in your face and neck for brighter, more youthful-looking skin (100% pain-free!).
It taps into super-smart tech which scans and measures skin’s resistance to electricity and adjusts microcurrents accordingly for safety and comfort.
It’s connected to an app that enables you to build a personalised routine and follow guided facial fitness routines.
It’s ergonomically designed to fit facial curves with no cumbersome wires.
Why Jo loves her Foreo Bear:
“If Bella Hadid's bone structure is something you're looking to replicate, I can't guarantee this device will land you a Vogue cover, but it certainly is designed to tone, contour and define your features.
Using microcurrent technology and massaging pulsations, sculpting the Bear around your cheekbones, jawline and brows under the guidance of their app can enhance the appearance of your facial structure - you've gotta be very consistent with this though, it's not a one and done kind of treatment.”
Chloe, Brand Partnerships Content Coordinator.
4. Kitsch Facial Ice Roller.
What: Kitsch Facial ice roller
Fast facts:
Kitsch Facial Ice Roller is exactly as it sounds: A stainless steel ice roller for your face. It works to rid pesky under-eye puffiness, calm redness and inflammation.
It also aids in alleviating tightness and tension, and helps minimise the appearance of breakouts for glowing, youthful skin.
It’s intended to be used AM and/or PM for 10 minutes after it’s been in the freezer for 15.
Plus, it's on the more affordable end of at-home beauty treatments. Win-win.
Why Chloe loves her Kitsch Facial Ice Roller:
“As the mornings get colder and the bed gets cozier, it's an absolute struggle to not give in and get back into bed, who knew a skincare tool would be able to help me with that?
The Kitsch Ice Roller is my second bestie in the morning (after a caffeine hit). Its coldness on my skin is a nice wake-up and instantly makes me look more alive. Think: colour back into my face and my eye bags, vanished. It's simple but in the best way and my go-to every day.”
